Veterinarian

Jennifer Rowan-Hitchcock, DVM, is a small animal veterinarian with more than 19 years of clinical practice experience. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has spent her career helping pet parents better understand their pets’ health through clear, compassionate veterinary education and communication.

Her clinical work has focused primarily on general practice medicine for dogs, cats, and pocket pets, with a particular interest in preventive care, early disease detection, and helping families navigate common medical conditions in companion animals. In addition to traditional veterinary medicine, Dr. Rowan-Hitchcock is certified in veterinary medical acupuncture and incorporates integrative techniques that support comfort, wellness, and longevity alongside conventional care.

At the heart of her work is the belief that great veterinary care happens when medical expertise and compassion go hand in hand. She is especially passionate about prevention, early intervention, and helping pet parents feel informed and supported rather than overwhelmed when their pets face health concerns.

At home, Dr. Rowan-Hitchcock shares her life with a dog, two rescue cats, a small parrot, a small herd of goats, and the occasional extra animal that finds its way to her little corner of the world. Living with and caring for animals of her own continually shapes her perspective and reminds her why clear, compassionate veterinary education matters, because pets aren’t just animals, they’re family
